Welcome Master C!! Such a joy to finally meet you! I hope to spend lots of time with you and your new and improved family - and I hope your parents love having two crazy boys in thier house as much as we enjoy it in ours!

This precious little 15 month old came all the way from New Hampshire to let me take her photos! Well, her grandma thinks she came to visit her, but I know it was just so I could get my hands on this little bundle of fun - and what fun we had! I loved chasing her all over my yard and capturing those little giggles and smiles, dimples and curls. And the best part - I get to see her some more this weekend and photograph her with brother, sister and cousins - a total of seven kids under the age of 9! Boy, that spells trouble (and FUN!)

Welcome Baby M

What a priviledge to photograph this beautiful Mama just one week before her angel was born! With my recent travels I was afraid I was going to miss the opportunity, but Baby M held on for me :) I have just started doing maternity sessions and I am HOOKED! The anticipation, the love, the excitement....I love getting in the emotions of it all through the camera (almost as much as I love capturing the itty bitty brand new babies). And then this precious little bundle arrived and I photographed her just two weeks after I photographed her Mama's belly - SO fun! Thank you B Family, for sharing two such amazing stages with me!

A cake, and some rejuvination

What a fun and refreshing afternoon! I have been feeling a little blue this week - and was even worried I wouldn't be able to do a good job on this session because of it. But it was once again a reminder of how much joy photography and little ones bring to my life. By the time the session was over I was energized, refreshed, and ready to conquer motherhood once again!
Little Miss C and her mama came over today for a 1st birthday session and what fun she was to photograph! I first met her as a newborn and loved photographing this precious baby girl and her beautiful mama - I cannot believe that was already a year ago!! Happy Birthday Baby Girl.

And my little guy was supposed to be napping during this session, but his schedule was off. Turned out the prop corner made a great playpen!

Dirt, Worms and Flowers

My boys and I have been having so much fun in our garden!! We have a huge yard and often I get so overwhelmed at how much work it takes to make an impact that I just give up. So this spring I have been focusing only on the beds around our front entry - and it is making me so happy!! I keep using the front door or stepping outside just to peek at my happy flowers :) My oldest has discovered worms (ok, gross!) and my baby LOVES playing in the dirt and grass. We all come in filthy (even the camera!) and we love it.

Birthdays! Birthdays! Birthdays!

Birthdays! Birthdays! Birthdays! So many birthdays to celebrate lately - I love it! Little Miss A just turned one so we had to take some photos to celebrate, now didn't we. This little angel has been a welcome princess in this house of boys. We always pretend that she is coming over to give her big brother and my big boy a play date...but really it is just so I can get some pink in my house!

What a priveledge to photograph her as a newborn and several more times during the last year. It has been so amazing to watch her grow. And this little lady is certainly taking after her beautiful Mama. Happy 1st Birthday Baby A.

Happy Birthday Baby B!!

Who doesn't love a birthday?!? And when the celebration is for an adorable one year old, well, that is tough to beat! Little Baby B came over to eat some cake to continue his happy one year old celebration - I hear he has been quite the party man the last few weeks. Here is a little peek at some of the fun!

Firstborns

I love photographing firstborns! All newborns are amazing - they are so brand new that it feels like you can still smell the angels on them. But there is something about watching the parents bursting with pride and joy as they celebrate this brand new chapter of their lives. Every baby is a new chapter, but the first one, it is just one of the biggest changes a person can make in life.

The Whole Family

I must admit I am alittle behind on my blog posts. This darling family came to me two weeks ago - things have been a bit busy around here with new hardwood floors on our main level, a trip to Williamsburg with the boys, a big happy birthday for my handsome three year old and a week of sick hubby and kiddos, whew, just happy I am still standing! But back to this precious family (and another to post about tomorrow!). Mom wanted to bring her two boys for a photo shoot. I asked if we could do it in two sessions. The first, we did 8 day old Baby C with MaMa and the grandparents - a suprise treat! They were all so kind and patient with our photo taking and baby posing. Then a few days later mom came back with 3 year old big brother and dad and we did some family shots. It was warm and humid outside - a perfect combo to get some of those snuggly newborn shots and so fun to work outside in the beautiful light of late afternoon. Well, enough of my rambling, here is what you are really here for....

I love my barnwood flooring that I bought from her in March (here is a fun shot of my boys using the flooring - Benjamin loves to tell people that MaMa wanted a photo but he did not want to take one and this shot is the result, Ahhh, 3 year olds!).

I love Birthdays

Especially 1st Birthdays! I had so much fun yesterday at the 1st Birthday celebration for a dear friend's youngest little girl. The C family is such a sweet beautiful family - and they were kind enough to tolerate the crazy camera lady :) I went as a guest, but let's just think about this - me, without either of my own little boys to chase, a camera in hand, and a house full of adorable little ones....hmmmm, you can bet I had a good time! So now I'll share a little of my fun with you....

My sweet baby boy is already six months old! I can't believe it. He is such a blessing to our family - a true joy. He is happy bubbly and oh so precious. Thank you Lord for this amazing gift.

Reflections

This family had me cruisin down memory lane. My first child is nearly three, but seeing these friends - brand new parents of thier first baby girl - I felt like I was watching my own little family at the begining again. Three little years, it doesn't seem so long ago, and then again, it seems like an eternity. I loved watching them with thier newborn daughter - so proud, so happy, so in awe of this new life they have created...
